Pandemic drags down Q3 earnings of Wata Chemicals

Due to frustrating sales figures due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Q3 (January-March) earnings of Wata Chemicals declined by 66.66%.

In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company said that its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk0.68 for the Q3 of 2021 as against Tk2.04 for the Q3 of 2020. 

Meanwhile, its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk60.24 as of March 31, 2021, and Tk59.02 as of June 30, 2020.

Wata Chemicals last offered a 35% cash dividend to its shareholders in 2020. Its closing price was 279.3 during Thursday’s trade.
