Quasem Industries aims to produce artificial quartz products for export

Quasem Industries Ltd has plans to start the commercial production of 100% export-oriented artificial quartz products in the 2021-22 financial year (FY). 

The company made the disclosure in its dividend filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday. 

Quasem Industries has recommended a 10% stock dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2021. 

In its filing, the company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk1.39 and net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk30.45 for the year ended on June 30, 2021, as against Tk0.67 and Tk29.54 respectively for the same period of the previous year. 

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company, where the shareholders will approve the dividend, is scheduled to take place on November 25, 2021 via a digital platform. The dividend also needs approval from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

During Tuesday’s trade, the closing price for each of Quasem Industries’ shares was Tk57.3.
